According to circus historian John Polacsek, this is a 1973 poster. I did not manage to cross the Straits of Mackinac and actually view the St. Ignace setup. However, a few years previously, KING BROS. was playing Petoskey, Michigan where I saw an elephant push a heavy truck out of a deep mud hole at one end of the lot.
