As you will note from this Texaco advertisement, circuses were depending on rugged, powerful Mack trucks in 1934.

A venerable, but powerful, chain drive Mack truck was still going strong for Cole Bros. Circus in 1946 at Pontiac, Michigan. How many of you folks in cyberland can remember the sound those chains made when a Mack was running at top speed along a paved highway?
